The Faculty of Education, originating from Seisho Normal School founded in 1874, was established as the Faculty of Liberal Arts in 1949 and changed its name to the present one in 1966. Since its establishment, the faculty has been providing various courses in education and conducting research in accordance with its philosophy of liberal arts.
