Teacher Training
The Basics of School Education
We aim to train teachers who will be able to cope with pupils’ psychological problems such as bullying, cooperating with local communities, and how to be sensitive to teacher-pupil relationships.
Early Childhood Education
The faculty aims to train teachers who can understand small children in terms of human development throughout lives, and can crate an educational environment suitable for the growth of small children.
Education for Children with Special Needs
Our goal at the faculty is to train teachers for pupils with disabilities at elementary and junior high schools, based on a curriculum which emphasizes pedagogy, medical science and psychology.
Specialized Curriculum Studies
We aim to train teachers with the potential to solve current issues in school education by studying the basics of human development, children’s growth, the theory and methodology of teaching and learning processes, along with the study of students’ selected subjects. This course consists of the following areas:

Humanities and Environmental Science
Clinical Studies of Human Development
This program focuses on topics concerning human life such as problems in human relations in advanced and complicated contemporary societies and also those of an ageing society from the viewpoint of clinical psychology and welfare.
Environmental Studies and Education
This program focuses on relations between people and the environment from the point of life-long studies in order to realize social systems in which people with different backgrounds, and people and nature coexist.
International Studies and Education
This program focuses on topics of multiculturalism from the viewpoint of understanding global society. This course offers various subjects such as multiculturalism and education, Japanese culture and language, and courses on English-speaking cultures and communication in English.
