Week 4 : Discribing objects

Further Study:

Week 5 : Discribing shape, size, use etc.

Further Study:

  1. B is a hollow cubic wooden block 10 cm high, 8 cm side, and 1 cm thickness.

All students MUST sit for Mid-term Exam the week after next!
All handouts are set for the exam. (Typing test plus Kogyo-Eiken tests only. No part of the textbook.)

Week 6 : Describing angles and lines

page 23 D (聞き取って下線部を埋めよう)

Page 24 F

Page 24 G (以下はどのような図になるか?)

Further Study: 「

Week 7 : Mid-term Exam

- Part I -

- Part II -
(Multiple-choice paper-based test)

Week 8 : Reading basic fomulae

page 24 B (よく聞いて書き取ろう)

page 25 C (よく聞いて書き取ろう)
分子over分母が基本形."a plus b all over c"のallがあるおかげで a + b/c と区別ができる.

page 25 D (よく聞いて書き取ろう)
squared, cubed, to the power of n / square root of, cube root of, n-th root of が基本形.

page 25 E (よく聞いて書き取ろう)
一見複雑ですが,上の繰り返しです.(a+b)を"a plus b in brackets" と言うか,"open bracket(s), x plus a, close bracket(s)" とリニアに読むかは,どちらがわかりやすいかの問題.

Further Study:

Week 9 : Reading more complex fomulae

page 25 A

page 25 B (各文字を読める・書けるようになろう)

page 25 C (よく聞いて書き取ろう)

page 26 D (聞いてみよう)

page 26 E (よく聞いて,数式を10個書き取ろう)

Further Study: 「

page 77 A

The electrodes should be removed from the container and the wires disconnected. The copper and zinc electrodes should be replaced with carbon and zinc electrodes. The galvanometer should then be reconnected and the value of the deflection should be noted. The value of the deflection should then be compared with the value for copper and zinc.
